Work continues on Grantham Southern Relief Road

Works on the second phase of Grantham's new relief road are steadily progressing through the winter.

In a monthly update, Lincolnshire County Council has reported on what was achieved during November.

Continued drainage works to the western side of the scheme

Continued earthworks at the eastern side of the scheme

Recommenced piling works for second half of new A1 bridge

Installed temporary fencing and dug geotechnical trial holes for Phase Three

Continued post-excavation archaeological reporting

What's happening in December

Continue drainage works to the western side of the scheme

Continue earthworks across the entire site

Complete piling works / begin pile cropping and excavation works in preparation for concrete works for second half of new A1 bridge

Carry out planning works and site clearance for signage installation on A1

Continue Phase Three Anglian Water watermain diversion and BT ducting

Continue post-excavation archaeological reporting

Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures

50mph speed limit and narrowed lanes on the A1 between Harlaxton to Little Ponton

The £102M 3.5km relief road is due for completion in Winter 2023.
