Warm welcomes and friends back on tap in Grantham

Yesterday's easing of lockdown restrictions meant that friends, warm welcomes and good times were back on tap in Grantham.

While many pubs have been open already, for a couple the lack of a suitable beer garden meant they could not open until yesterday.

The award-winning Beerheadz in Watergate opened at 4pm and by 6pm regulars were enjoying some of its finest beer.

Down the road at the Nobody Inn, Eddie Pimlott and his staff were also providing some of Grantham's best beer plus warm and friendly service. Many familiar faces were there too.

A few streets away, Landlord Andy and staff were also offering excellent beer and customer service in the Beehive in Castlegate.

Sitting inside was far better than the cold evening I experienced in the Beehive's beer garden several weeks ago.

Restaurants and cafe's also re-opened to inside diners yesterday.

So what better way to end the night than the Siam Garden on London Road for the tastiest Thai food around?

The Monday buffet is not available due to Covid-19 regulations, but the Unlimited Set Menu is a more than acceptable alternative.

Of course, some restrictions still apply. For example, you must wear your facemask on entry and when going to the toilet, taking it off when sitting down for table service.

Either way, I certainly felt safe in all the venues I went to last night. Tables were spaced apart, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Service, food and drinks were all excellent.

So go on Grantham, go and have a good night out. And don't forget the day times as well.

After what we have all been through, we have earned it!
