The exciting world of virtual reality gaming arrives in Grantham today.

The new venture Grantham VR Escape is the creation of Chris Bosell, who owns CB Taxis of Grantham and CB Passenger Services, both of whom are ongoing and thriving businesses.

Today, is the opening day between 11am and 3pm, for people to have a look around, with the first bookings from 5pm.

The premises are at 21London Road, a former Masonic Hall and music venue. Most recently, the site sold workwear clothing, a business which has now moved over the road.

Chris is originally from the Mansfield area but has lived in Grantham for ten years.

He told Nub News: "VR Escape is Virtual Reality Escape rooms, so rather than a traditional escape room the entire experience takes place in a 2m x 2m area inside a VR headset. This brings endless possibilities to the environments and puzzles that a user can experience.

"It is aimed at anyone aged 10+ as there a multitude of options available to cater for a vast audience. With no gaming experience people should be able to understand the basic controls very quickly."

Chris partnered with ARVI who are the game developer but Grantham VR Escape is a standalone business with hopes to expand in the near future.

He continued: "I chose Grantham as I live locally and believe the town is in need of something that doesn't require travelling over 30 miles to experience. With it being local to me I can be very hands on with the new business and spend my time there to ensure it succeeds."

Chris added, he set up the venture with himself and fellow investors, which he hopes will bring some diversity to Grantham's high street street in Grantham.
