Part of a former Grantham restaurant is to be converted into a home.

Mr P Patel has received planning approval from South Kesteven District Council concerning a change of use at 22 London Road.

In recent times, the premises has traded as Mario's Food Store and before that, Bindi Restaurant and Cowboy Broncos American Diner.

A council report described the building, erected in 1897 at the southern end of Grantham town centre, as a 'positive unlisted building'.

Converting its use would have no significant adverse impact on the character of the area.

It also said the planning application had received no letters of representation from the public.
