A historic office building at the south end of Grantham is to be converted into two flats.
An adjoining redundant builders yard will also see the construction of two two-bed semis and four three-bed terraced houses.
The development will follow South Kesteven District Council granting planning permission to County Consultants concerning the 1,367m2 site at 65 South Parade.
The application said similar proposals had been submitted in the past and the storage buildings were of no architectural merit.
The building at the front was known as 'Spittlegate Lodge' and conversion into two two-bed flats would be "completely sympathetic and appropriate to the site and wider environment with particular care taken to the conversion of the existing listed building."
The development would also be a positive transformation of the builder's yard, it added.
