Eagle-eyed CCTV operators in Grantham have thwarted a £3000 theft of alcohol and other items.

The CCTV was operated by staff at South Kesteven District Council, whose system regularly catches shoplifters and others, as previously reported by Nub News.

It's staff also include former veterans, as also recently reported.

Earlier this week, SKDC said on twitter: "Amazing work again from SKDC's CCTV operators, whose eagle eyes and swift action resulted in the recovery of all this drink stolen from Sainsburys Grantham

"Tumbler glass Info shared on the Retail Link radio system helped police seize a vehicle and pick up three suspects. Three people have been charged."

In the comments underneath, Cabinet Member for Commercial and Operations, Coun Dr Peter Moseley commented: "Great work by the team."
