A sausage and cider festival staged at a popular pub near Grantham was "just the tonic we all need" according to the couple running it.
The popular Geese and Fountain at Croxton Kerrial staged the event from Wednesday to Saturday, with 12 different sausages and 17 ciders.
The event proved reasonably busy, with the venue booked out on Saturday evening as the festival drew to a close. They also ran out of sausages.
The pub posted on Facebook afterwards: "After a difficult few weeks, the Cider and Sausage Festival over the last few days has been just the tonic we all needed.
"Great people, nicely busy without compromising anyone's safety, and some really, really lovely comments. By far the best atmosphere we've been able to generate since lockdown. Thank you to everyone who came and took part. You've made us all feel *a lot* better."
Their comments follow a post on Friday appealing for customers to buy vouchers to help the pub get through 'an existential crisis' with trade suffering due to the pandemic and its related restrictions affecting the hospitality trade, as previously reported by Nub News.
Festival customers have praised the event.

"Husband certainly enjoyed trying all the ciders and came home with some takeaway cider too! Well thought out Covid safe layout and great information so we felt safe and happy throughout.
Chris Miller said: "So glad you've had some good experiences! Food for the soul! !"
