The re-opening of a popular Grantham Wine Bar and restaurant has been postponed.

The Eden Wine Bar in Market Place was due to be back open today, but this has been delayed due to legal matters.

The venue posted on its Facebook page: " Work has been progressing very well in the wine bar and we are so excited to welcome you all. Unfortunately the opening is having to be postponed.

"We are so disappointed however we are being held up by a few legalities which have to be completed before we can open the doors to you. Our solicitors are going as fast as they can."

The post added: "Please watch this space, as soon as we can release a new opening date we will!"

At present, the Eden is also undergoing improvements, including the arrival of new furniture.

The wine bar also commented: "We are currently redecorating and changing a few things but it is very important to us that the standard remains high."

It is also recruiting for new chefs.

When previous owners Chris and Theresa Duggan announced the closure last month due to the pandemic, customers were devastated, but there was joy when it was announced the venue would re-open with, as yet undisclosed new owners.
