A popular Grantham restaurant has delayed it's re-opening.

The Siam Garden on London Road had recently said it would open around the end of September.

As reported by Nub News, the much-loved venue was one of the few not to re-open in July as allowed, leading to concerns from customers about it's future.

However, the restaurant posted on social media last week that it was "still in the process of re-opening" though no further details were given.

The statement said: "We would like to say a massive thank you for continuing support we received in the past months.

"We are sad to announce that we are still in the process of re-opening.

"Unfortunately we have not got the exact date yet which we are deeply disappointed.

"However, we will give an update as soon as we got the opening date. Thank you for your understanding and your patience. We are looking forward to welcoming you again soon."

Customers responded they were looking forward to the restaurant re-opening, with some adding they missed the take-aways.

Rachel Bamford said: "Hope it won't be too long! All the best ."

Jacqui Hoyland said: "You open when you feel it is safe and right for you... but there are a lot of people near (& far) who will be there for you when you do xx."
