Police appeal for witnesses after attempted armed robbery in Grantham

Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted armed robbery at a Grantham newsagents.

Two men wearing balaclavas entered Alma Park News, in Alma Park Road, at around 7.45pm on 23 October.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "One of the men threatened the shopkeeper with a bladed item. The men then left the store empty-handed.

"The suspects came from the direction of the industrial estate on Alma Park Road on entering the shop and ran off in the same direction.

"We have carried out extensive investigations but enquiries are ongoing."
