A new teacher training hub is to be based in Grantham.

From September, Wyndham Park Nursery School

will be leading a new Grantham Hub offering School Centred Initial Teacher Training in partnership with Lincolnshire Teaching School Alliance SCITT. Completion of this programme will result in the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Masters level PGCE accredited by the University of Lincoln. Wyndham Park Nursery School and the LTSA each have extremely successful track records for training teachers and are really looking forward to working together. All trainees will spend a school year based full-time in a school. They are released for one day each week to attend specific curriculum and academic learning sessions. At the end of the year, students will be fully qualified teachers of the full Primary age range. Training takes place within 3-7, 5-11 or 7-11 age ranges and applicants are able to express preferences for training schools within Grantham and the surrounding areas. Lucy Bradley, Grantham Hub Lead said: "We provide a really high level of personalised support to each trainee and get to know each trainee individually. This means that all of our programme tutors and school-based mentors are able to support trainees really well across what is a challenging but amazing year."

The new hub will work with the following schools to offer the opportunity to train in Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage Two (Years 3, 4, 5, and 6):
