Grantham College is set for a new look, after councillors approved plans at a meeting last week.
Members of the planning committee of South Kesteven District Council agreed to recommendations from planning staff to allow the refurbishment of part of the college when they met on Thursday.
As Nub News previously reported , the college in Stonebridge Road sought new windows, doors and fabric roof upgrade to a link and replace doors and windows in the engineering block, plus other works.
Members also approved two separate planning applications from Mr John Rose of Roseland Estates Limited to use two sites on at Roseland Business Park, Roseland Way, Long Bennington for outside storage.
As Nub News reported recently , SKDC planning staff recommended approval subject to conditions.
The planning committee also imposed further conditions, including a landscaping strategy to be submitted to ensure the works are sympathetic to the visual amenities of the locality and to enhance the biodiversity of the development.
They also requested the developer provide overnight parking.
The planning committee also approved a further development for the airfield site, this one from ES Global an event management company.
It gained approval to remove an existing portable office building and toilet block and erect a new office building on the site known as Hangar 8.
This was approved subject to conditions as recommended by council planning staff, with councillors imposing a further condition of the submission of a landscaping strategy "to ensure that the works are sympathetic to the visual amenities of the locality and to enhance the biodiversity of the development."
