New housing development brings £2.1m investment into Grantham

Construction has begun on 300 new homes in Grantham which will also see a £2.1m cash injection into the local community from developer Countryside.
The start of work The Colleys housing development, of Barrowby Road, will see a new collection of high quality family homes build in the town - in addition to a financial commitment from Countryside which will see investment in crucial public services.
A total of £1.17m is earmarked for Grantham West Academy and Walton Academy. A further £130,500 will support invaluable NHS services including the improvement and extension of Vine House Surgery.
The investment also includes provision of affordable homes, a £20,000 contribution towards the creation of a new bus shelter on Barrowby Road, £60,000 funding towards highways improvements, as well as £15,000 to enhance local transport services.
Glyn Mabey, Managing Director, Partnerships East Midlands, Countryside, comments: "This is a significant milestone for our East Midlands business, as works commence on our second open-market development within the region following our launch last year.
"Our partnership with South Kesteven District Council will see us create so much more than just new homes by helping to redefine and reinvigorate the area through significant investment into vital public services.
"Contributing to Grantham's sustainable economic growth and that of the wider Lincolnshire area is a key priority for Countryside as we introduce this development to the market.
"We are confident that our presence in the area will positively impact the area's social and physical regeneration for the benefit of new and existing residents."
The Colleys, named after the Poet Laureate Colley Cibber, offers three and four bedroom homes starting from £244,995. The new sales and marketing suite is off Barrowby Road.
