A motocross rider has died following a crash between two motorbikes at a race circuit in Gonerby Moor.

Police received a report of an incident involving two motorcyclists at the track near Bees Gorse at 12.34pm yesterday (Sunday).

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: "Two men in their 20s were seriously injured and sadly one did not survive his injuries. Family members have been informed.

"Police are investigating the circumstances of this incident and are aware that there may be footage of the collision.

"A number of riders may have obtained Go-Pro footage, and spectators may have left the scene with mobile phone recordings.

"If anyone has footage of this incident please contact the police quoting incident 209 of 2 June."

South Kesteven District Council will be carrying out a health and safety investigation.
