Grantham Town FC has brought in two new players ahead of today's (Thursday) 5pm deadline for Evo-Stik League transfers and registrations.

Joint managers Paul Rawden and Russ Cousins have added midfielder Niah Payne and defender Jake Green to the team.

Twenty-year-old Niah was most recently at North Ferriby United, which had its playing record in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division expunged by the Northern Premier League earlier this week following the club's liquidation.

Niah came through the Bradford City Academy and had been at non-league side Shaw Lane Association Football Club.

Twenty-five year old Jake signs from West Yorkshire's Frickley Athletic Football Club.

He was at Matlock Town earlier this season, scooping the Young Player of the Year award 2017/18, having previously played for Kidderminster Harriers.

News of two new players comes less than a week after The Gingerbreads signed striker Shane Benjamin from Hednesford Town.
