Man dead after being hit by train near Grantham

A man has died after being hit by a train close to Grantham yesterday (Sun) afternoon.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "At 3.35pm, on 23 June, officers were called to the line close to Grantham after reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended.
"However a man in his forties was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"His family have been informed."
The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
