The award-winning Beerheadz micro-pub in Grantham has announced a re-opening date.

The popular venue in Watergate, noted for its real ales as well as craft beers, says it plans to re-open today.

A 4pm starting time this afternoon has been announced on social media, with shorter opening hours compared to before it closed due to the pandemic.

With the pub not re-opening in July, many drinkers have speculated about the long-term future of the pub.

However, as previously reported by Nub News, this was blamed on the small and friendly nature of the Beerheadz chain, where conversations are encouraged, which meant social-distancing measures worked against the ethos of the micro-pub.

But Beerheadz Grantham posted on Facebook today: "We are re-opening! We are at last ready to serve our loyal customers again, in-house! 'Rule of six' and all current C-19 restrictions must be observed.

"We will be open tonight from 4pm and initial hours will be:

THU & FRI 4-10

SUN 2-8

"We may have to tweak the hours from day to day as we become aware of demand, so please bear with us."
