LotterySK has delivered a welcome £2,000 pre-Christmas win for one lucky ticket holder.

The winner supports Cliffedale PFA in Grantham which has raised more than £300 since signing up to LotterySK a year ago, helping to pay for extra items that the school budget does not cover.

Ticket sales reflect the season of goodwill, increasing over the lockdown period with continued support for good causes signed up to South Kesteven District Council's community lottery.

Lottery Gift Vouchers, starting from £5, make an ideal gift, offering the chance to win £25,000 in the weekly draw

Cllr Annie Mason, SKDC Cabinet Member for Communities, said: "The goodwill and the community support within LotterySK is particularly important at this time of year.

"We have also just been informed that there will be six superb bolt-on offers during 2021 from our lottery partner Gatherwell, which helps all our good causes sell more tickets and bring in extra revenue. LotterySK has proved to be an all-round winner since we launched in September 2018."

Cliffedale PFA fund-raising co-ordinator Emma Weatherhill said; "The income from LotterySK is fabulous as we have not been able to organise any of our usual fund-raising events, such as our Christmas Fair and children's disco. It's great that people are choosing to support us when they buy a ticket.

"We are putting money towards outdoor gym equipment, new reading books and the sort of extras that add to children's fun at school."

Sixty per cent of every £1 lottery ticket goes to support good causes in South Kesteven and every ticket has a one in 50 chance of winning in the weekly draw.

To buy tickets, or register as a good cause, go to www.lotterysk.co.uk where there is also information and advice for groups wanting help on how to encourage ticket sales.
