An empty shop in Grantham town centre could soon open a new door as a nail bar and beauty parlour.
Miss Emily Simpson of Meadowdale Crescent, Grantham, has applied to South Kesteven to change the use of the 105m2 building at 70 High Street.
In a separate planning application, Emily also seeks new signage, including gold lettering.
In her planning applications, Emily said: "This is currently a commercial property (previous use retail & offices) - vacant for over a year we propose this will be a beauty business.
"The property currently has green carpet flooring and cream walls.
"We purpose that we will change this into white walls and grey flooring.
"We will NOT be making any structural changes at all.
"All of the work will be purely decorative, its currently a retail / office so it will well suited to a beauty salon."
Emily continued: "We do purpose changing the colour of the exterior shop front window. It is currently a red/brown colour which is flaking and in poor repair. We would like to change it to a charcoal colour, grey or black.
"We will be adding a gold metal shop sign above the window and one A3 promotional poster inside the front window."
Emily added: "We are a small Lash and brow bar - currently based in a home salon (15 Meadowdale Crescent )
"I will be employing 2 new staff members. The rest of the building will be used for spacious treatment rooms and a meeting room.
"Providing lash and brow treatments has no impact on noise levels, fumes (no fumes emitted), or traffic. We will be expecting between 12-20 clients per day."
SKDC has yet to determine the application.
