A 30-year-old man remains in police custody as Lincolnshire Police continue a murder investigation.

Late, on Wednesday night, officers were called to Chestnut Grove, where the body of a woman was discovered.

Last night, police said "a local man, aged 30, has been arrested on suspicion of murder."

The female victim, who has not yet been named, is believed to have been 23-years-old.

In an update today, a police statement continued: "The 30 year old local man remains in custody.

"A 12-hour Superintendents extension has been granted which extends the normal 24 hour custody limit to 36 hours, this is to allow the Senior Investigating Officer more time to conduct his inquiries."
