A long-awaited bar and jazz club in Grantham is moving closer to opening.
Capones in 'wide' Westgate, next to Kitchen and Coffee, has looked ready to open since early last year.
But its opening has been delayed due to the pandemic and related restrictions.
Last December 23, the venue posted on Facebook saying it was 'opening soon' and featured a picture of Santa inside the premises.
But the county's third national lockdown soon put a stop to that.
Now, the venue has said on Facebook that it is seeking staff, though no opening date is given.
And tomorrow, councillors will decide whether a hearing is needed to determine the premises licence for the piano and jazz bar at 78 Westgate.
If they determine it does, a council report says a date will then have to be set for one.
The agenda for the meeting of Alcohol, Entertainment and Late Night Refreshment Licensing Sub-Committee, notes the venue seeks to remain open until 3am daily, and 3.30am on certain holidays.
The application is under the name of a London-based company called UK Transit Ltd.
Nub News has sought comment from company about its application and plans for the venue.
The Friday sub-committee meeting starts at 10am.
