Grantham killing: Man in court again charged with manslaughter of Daniela Espirito Santo

A Grantham man will appear before Lincoln Crown Court via video link today concerning the manslaughter of Daniela Espirito Santo and a further charge of assault against her.
Julio Jesus, 30, from Beechcroft Road, Grantham, faces the two charges following the alleged incidents, which took place on Wednesday April 8.
Julio Jesus has been remanded in custody following the killing of 23-year-old mum at Chestnut Grove, Grantham.
Lincolnshire Police said today it has made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) as is required when a person dies or is seriously injured following direct or indirect police contact. The IOPC is carrying out an independent investigation.
A spokesman continued: "We are appealing for anyone who was in the area around 11.30 pm on Wednesday evening, who saw or heard anything unusual.
"We would also like to hear from anyone who knew either Daniela Espirito Santo or Julio Jesus and may have relevant information to our investigation. If you have not yet contacted us we are appealing for you to get in touch. Each piece of information will help towards our investigation."
