Lincolnshire health chiefs are to stage their Annual Public Meeting online for the second year running.

The NHS Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group will be outlining its progress over the past year over the internet at 5pm on Wednesday.

Although members of the public won't be able to attend the CCG's Annual Public Meeting in person, they will still be able to view the meeting remotely.

Highlights include the CCG formally presenting its 2020/21 Annual Report and Accounts, as well as the CCG reporting on its activities over the past financial year.

Sean Lyons, Chair, Lincolnshire CCG, said:""It is unfortunate that we are not able to meet in person yet, but we continue to be responsible and take a sensible and proportionate stance where coronavirus is concerned, which is why, for the second year running, this year's Annual Public Meeting will be held virtually.

"However, based on our experience of running last year's meeting in exactly the same way, we are confident we will still be able to do everything we would usually do at our Annual Public Meeting, albeit via Microsoft Teams, and, we look forward to sharing with people some of the work we have undertaken over the last year."

As always, the Annual Public Meeting will also provide the public with the chance to find out more about what the CCG is focusing on over the next year.

Members of the public can either submit questions in advance of the meeting by emailing [email protected] by 5pm on Tuesday September 21, or using the proforma available here or through the Question and Answer facility available as part of the meeting.

Led by local GPs and other health professionals, NHS Lincolnshire CCG is responsible for the planning and purchasing of health services across the county, including planned and emergency hospital care, rehabilitation, most community services, and mental health and learning disability services.
