Grantham First Glimpse: Alexander Kent Interiors

Adding a touch of glamour and class to the George Centre in Grantham is Alexander Kent Interiors.

The homewares store opened its doors for the first time yesterday morning and reports an excellent start.

The venture was first launched last year as an online business by owner Alex Smyth of Barrowby Gate.

As Nub News previously reported, Alex was made redundant after working 15 years for the Arcadia Group (TOPSHOP / TOPMAN) as a Manager.

Alex's new business allowed him to follow his passion for interiors and the 34-year-old is keen to support the high street.

He told Nub News after the shop's first day of trading: "I have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response on our opening day.

"It has been great to see so many people come out and support us.

"I want to thank all the lovely customers who shopped with us today, and look forward to seeing you again soon, and also looking forward to welcoming all our new customers over the coming months."
