A consultation event concerning county council ambitions to make Grantham more attractive for walking and cycling has been cancelled.

In a statement this afternoon, a spokesman for Lincolnshire County Council said: "Unfortunately we have had to cancel Monday's event at Grantham Guildhall. This is due to key staff now being unable to attend.

"We are still planning our virtual event, and we're keen for residents and community groups to have their say and help shape Grantham's Cycling and Walking Network Plan."

As Nub News reported yesterday, the event was to feature draft maps of the Grantham walking and cycling network for people to comment upon.

No date has been announced for the virtual event and no reason was given as to why staff are now unable to attend the Guildhall event on Monday.
