A free one-to-one support session will take place next month to help community groups in Grantham secure new local and national funding.

The surgery is being held by InvestSK, South Kesteven District Council's economic growth and regeneration company, to encourage groups to explore potential new sources of income and learn more about developing a fundraising plan for future projects.

Since launching last summer, InvestSK's funding service has supported many charitable or community organisations in South Kesteven to secure finance, including a mixed-use community hub, a skate park, a community library, churches and heritage groups.

Alison Berwick, community funding development manager at InvestSK, said: "Whether you want to review your organisation's fundraising capacity, develop your fundraising plan, access bid writing training or simply want to ask some initial fundraising questions, InvestSK can help.

"Our new surgeries are designed to make charities and community groups aware of current funding opportunities and support them through the funding maze. Places are free but limited, so book early if you'd like to attend."

Four surgeries will take place throughout June in each of South Kesteven's market towns, with the first on June 6 at InvestSK Offices, The Maltings, Grantham.

Booking is essential, contact Alison by email [email protected] or visit the InvestSK website: www.investsk.co.uk/events
