A reminder has been issued by Lincolnshire County Council that part of the A1 will be closed overnight as part of the construction of the Grantham Southern Relief Road.

The reminder came in the council's regular monthly update on the £102M 3.5km relief road, which is due for completion in Winter 2023.

The night-time closures on the Southbound carriageway, it warned, will be in place from 8pm to 6am, weekday evenings only, starting on Tuesday 6 April for five weeks.

The diversion route for the closures will be via the B1174 through Grantham rejoicing the A1 at Little Ponton, as previously reported by Nub News.
