Grantham businesswoman Sarah White has launched an online shop selling quality pre-loved scarves and accessories.

Sarah hopes her venture, 'Re:wind', will encourage people away from cheap, fast fashion and the negative impact that this has, both on the planet and the people living on it.

She is using her retail experience gained in the fair-trade industry whilst working for Oxfam and Shared Earth to sell preloved items that don't cost the earth – either financially, or in terms of environmental impact.

Sarah said: "The ethos behind Re:wind is to provide affordable, sustainable scarves and accessories so that people can buy items that have already been made and therefore not add to the demand for cheap, fast fashion, not add to the pollution of the planet and not add to the abuse of low paid/non paid workers in dangerous working conditions."

In her search as a consumer to buy earth friendly, sustainable goods, Sarah says she quickly realised that people selling these items tended to put a premium on their products because they were kind to the environment.

Sarah continued: "I don't believe that this should be the case and I want everyone to be able to afford to buy in an Earth-friendly way.

"When there is already an abundance of clothing on the planet, I have realised that selling preloved items is a way to meet this demand. I only use recyclable wrapping and labels for any purchases and I encourages my customers to reuse or recycle any packaging they receive."
