A village pub is staging a Film & Beer Festival this weekend.

Starting this Friday at 12-noon, the The Griffin Inn at Irnham will be running family movies until well into the evening.

The festival also runs on Saturday and Sunday.

Movies include The Greatest Showman, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Mama Mia, Grease, Top Gun, Crocodile Dundee, Shrek and many more all being shown on a mega jumbo screen over the weekend.

Friday night from 8pm will see the 'awesome' DJ Craig hosting the night with some 'pumping tunes.'

Tracks will include hits, floor fillers, classics throughout the decades creating a fun family friendly atmosphere.

Pub landlord Jamie Benton-Jones said: "There will be 20 ales & 5 ciders from around the UK, currently being brewed in secret locations by master craftsmen just for the event."

On Saturday, from 12noon until the evening are more family films on the mega jumbo screen.

In the evening, people can dance and party away the to the Band from County Hell.

Jamie said: "They are back at the Griffin Inn after a 15 year absence."

They perform from 8pm and there will also be a great firework display.

Sunday afternoon, promises a chilled afternoon with Films from 12 noon until Scott the magician (think three horsemen!) and Mark Elliot, an inspired guitarist who can sing - and now Louie Sax and DJ Loch, play a fresh fusion of uplifting sax and house tracks.

Jamie added: "This is a super exclusive event so we recommend booking tickets in advance Beer Festival 2021 – The Griffin Inn, Irnham ."
