GP surgery near Grantham can expand

A doctor's surgery near Grantham has received approval to expand, despite concerns the extension would take up valuable parking spaces.

The surgery at High Street, Caythorpe, will be able to build four extra consultation rooms to its rear despite the plan taking four parking spaces.

Caythorpe and Frieston Parish Council had no objection to the scheme but feared it would worsen parking in the area, but Lincolnshire County Council felt the surgery had sufficient parking spaces.

Public consultation from South Kesteven District Council resulted in no letters of representation.

Assessing the application, SKDC planning looked at various factors and recommending approval, judged the scheme met a range of local and national planning policies.
