Spring has sprung and it's time for some outdoor fun at the annual Wyndham Park Easter Egg Hunt and charity duck race.

On Saturday (20 April) youngsters will be invited to follow an Easter Trail in South Kesteven District Council's award-winning Grantham park. Those who solve the clues will win a small chocolate reward.

The event is open from 10am-1pm and a £1.50 entry fee covers Easter crafts and ticket in a raffle to be drawn at 11.45am. Other activities include a nature trail and name the rabbit and duck competitions.

The attractions are centred around the Visitor Centre that was built as part of the £1m Heritage Lottery-funded park restoration.

Visitors to the park can also enjoy the spectacle of the Kesteven Rotary Duck Race, which starts from the Redcross Street Bridge at midday. Tickets will be on sale for £1 and money raised will go to Rotary charities.

A spokesperson for the council said: "These family-friendly events are a great way to end the Easter school holidays. Visitors will be able to enjoy the park and see all the improvements that have been made."

The Wyndham Park Café will be open for refreshments.
