Fresh from her success representing Great Britain at last week's European Juniors swimming competition, Grantham girl Freya Colbert is packing her suitcase again for the European Youth Olympics Festival.

The 15-year-old from Manthorpe Road is one of just 16 young swimmers chosen to swim for Team GB at the festival in Baku, Azerbaijan next week.

Freya, who swims for Nova Centurion in Nottingham, has only just returned from European Juniors in Kazan, Russia, where she was one of the youngest competitors, winning a silver medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay and narrowly missing bronze in the 400IM.

The selections were announced this morning (Thurs) as the teenager was back in the pool at Grantham Meres at her regular training session with Grantham Swim Club.
