The first residents have moved in at a new housing development in Waltham on the Wolds.
Bellway East Midlands is building 60 homes at Waltham Heights, which is taking shape on a seven-acre site off Melton Road.
The first property has now been completed and is now occupied by housebuyers.
The development will eventually comprise 38 houses for private sale and 22 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership, as well as public open space and a play area.
Claire Black, Sales Manager for Bellway East Midlands, said: "We've taken great care to design a high-quality and attractive development at Waltham Heights, so it's great to see the first residents settling into their new home.
"There is a wide variety of homes suitable for buyers at all stages of the property ladder, from two-bedroom bungalows perfect for downsizers to large five-bedroom detached houses ideal for growing families.
"Located at the southern edge of the village and facing out onto open countryside, Waltham Heights offers an attractive rural location just five miles north of Melton Mowbray. The development is proving particularly popular with commuters, thanks to the excellent road links to Leicester and Nottingham, which can both be reached within 45 minutes.
"The homes at Waltham Heights will also suit those working from home, as some of the four and five-bedroom properties include a dedicated study."
As part of the planning agreement for the development, Bellway is providing funding of more than £1 million for local services, including healthcare and education.
A selection of two-bedroom bungalows are currently available to purchase, with prices starting from £225,000.
There is also a range of three and four-bedroom houses available at the development, with prices ranging from £289,000 to £535,000.
