Fire crews attend Grantham blaze

A disused building in Grantham town centre has suffered extensive fire damage following a blaze last night.

Firecrews from Grantham, Bourne, and Donington Community Fire Station at 12.10am today.

Six appliances arrived at the scene off Westgate, including the Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP).

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue reported fire damage to first, second floors and roof space of a three-storey building.

The blaze was put out using four main jets and the ALP.

Earlier today, Lincolnshire Police released drone footage showing the extent of the blaze.

Police are still investigating its cause.

Late this afternoon, Grantham Fire Brigade said they were re-inspecting the building and hot spots were still being dampened down.
