Health chiefs are recruiting across South Kesteven and elsewhere to help with the vaccine roll-out.

The nationwide move follows Lincolnshire hospitals starting to administer the Pfizer jab last week and the Meres Leisure Centre in Grantham being used as a vaccination hub, starting yesterday.

There are thousands of roles available nationally as Covid-19 Vaccination Programme Vaccinator. The job will last 3-6 months and pays £10.09-£11.19 an hour.

Previous medical experience is not needed but people with clinical, care or first aid experience are being prioritised in the first wave of applications.

All vaccinators will receive training and their role will primarily be administering the jab into a person's shoulder muscle.

There are positions available in two related roles in immunisation: for a registered health care professional and clinical supervisors, paying at least £12.74 and £16.04 an hour respectively.

Recruitment is being led by NHS Professionals, a government wing that supplies temporary workers for the National Health Service.
