There were 30 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Greater Lincolnshire on Monday.

The government data published on Monday evening showed 24 new cases in Lincolnshire, six in North Lincolnshire and three in North East Lincolnshire.

It means there have been 225 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Greater Lincolnshire in a fortnight, 10% more than the whole month of August.

In South Kesteven, the numbers have risen by 19 from 477 to 496 since Friday.

A shortage of testing capacity continues nationwide and in Lincolnshire, with many unable to book a test online.

Prior to the weekend, the government said the R number – the rate of infection – had risen to above one for the first time since March.

There were no further hospital deaths confirmed for the Greater Lincolnshire regions in NHS figures or the government's own tally, which also includes deaths outside of hospitals or outside the county.
