There have been nine new cases of coronavirus in Lincolnshire confirmed today.

Government figures released on Tuesday show the number of cases in Lincolnshire have increased to a total of 1,158 – up from 1,149.

No new cases were reported yesterday in Lincolnshire.

Meanwhile North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire have both remained the same at 524 and 166 respectively.

They too reported no new cases yesterday.

It means the Greater Lincolnshire region as a whole has seen an increase of 58 this month.

June has seen the lowest number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases across Greater Lincolnshire since the outbreak began.

Figures released today show that Lincolnshire now has 1,158 cases (up eight), North Lincolnshire has 524 cases (no change) and North East Lincolnshire has 166 cases (no change).

The first case was reported in Lincolnshire on March 6, and during that month confirmed numbers rose by 142 before a post-lockdown jump of 1,170 in April.

This dropped by 60% for May with just 468 cases confirmed by the government's official figures.

Today's Lincolnshire figure of 1,158 cases for Lincolnshire, gives the county a rate of 153.2 per 100,000 population.

This compares with an England average of 286.9 cases per 100,000, based on its overall total of 160,587 confirmed cases.

Across the region, Melton currently has 77 cases down one since Thursday when Nub News last presented a full round-up. This amounts to a rate of 148.7 per 100,000.

North Kesteven has increased one to 137 since Thursday, giving it a rate of 118.1.

Rutland has increased one to 36 (90.7).

South Holland has increased two to 236 (251.1).

South Kesteven has increased four to 173 (122.0).

And Peterborough has increased 22 since Thursday to 487 (242.1 per 100,000).

Despite a 24-day period without any new deaths in Lincolnshire, there have been 14 coronavirus-related deaths across the region as a whole throughout June – the lowest since March.

Meanwhile, there have been no new coronavirus-related deaths reported today (June 30) at any of Greater Lincolnshire's hospitals.

Today's figures mean that during the entire month of June, there were six COVID-19 deaths at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust (Lincoln, Boston Grantham) and 8 at Northern Lincolnshire hospitals (Scunthorpe, Grimsby).

117 in Northern Lincolnshire and Goole The total number of deaths across Greater Lincolnshire remains at 332. ULHT has not seen any additional reported deaths since Saturday's report, however, NLAG reported an additional one yesterday taking their number up. The first death in Greater Lincolnshire was confirmed on March 27 – four days after lockdown began – and within another four days a further 10 people had sadly passed away. In April, 158 people died in Greater Lincolnshire Hospitals. The figure dropped again by 52% in May to 76.
