Coronavirus crisis: Markets still on as South Kesteven District Council outlines life under lockdown

South Kesteven District council has issued guidance on how its services will be affected as a result of the tougher restrictions in place across the UK from tomorrow.

Markets are open. They include Bourne (Thursdays), Stamford (Fridays and Saturdays) and Grantham (Saturdays).

Traders will be selling food, pet food and essential household goods and services only.

All visitors to the market are reminded of the importance of maintaining a two-metre distance from anyone outside of their household.

The SKDC COVID-19 Community Information Hub is up-and-running to support residents with any aspect of lockdown and the Covid-19 pandemic.

The hub can be contacted at [email protected] or on 01476 406177. Its opening hours are 8.45am-5.15pm (Monday-Thursday) and Friday 8.45am-4.45pm.

SKDC's Arts Centres are to close.

SKDC Leisure Centres are to close.

SKDC Parks will remain open, although Wyndham Park Visitor Centre is closed. The toilets there - and all SKDC public toilets - remain open.

All play areas will stay open.

Tennis courts are now closed.

Most council services are running as normal but with reduced face-to-face contact, see page: www.southkesteven.gov.uk/coronavirus

Refuse collection services for Silver, Black and Green bins will operate as normal.

The Customer Services team is still there to help residents.
