Coronavirus crisis: Lincolnshire reports two more deaths

Two more patients have died with coronavirus, according to figures released this afternoon.

The United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust said the fatalities were a woman aged 85 and a man aged 57, who both had pre-existing conditions.

Altogether, this brings the total number of deaths in trust hospitals to 108.

Today's figures compare with ULHT reporting four deaths yesterday- all men aged 78, 88 and another two aged 89- who all had underlying health conditions.

The North West Anglia NHS Foundation did not provide an update today, but this week, it reported 99 deaths to date- 64 at Peterborough City Hospital and 35 at Hinchingbrooke.

This afternoon, NHS England revealed the total number of deaths has increased by 621 to 28,131.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has increased by 4,806 to 182,260.

Across the region, since Thursday, Lincolnshire has seen the number of confirmed cases increase from 828 to 855.

Leicestershire has seen numbers increase from 906 to 946.

North East Lincolnshire's total has increased from 134 to 135.

Peterborough has increased from 224 to 251.

Rutland again remains at 20.
