The number of deaths from coronavirus keeps on falling across Lincolnshire- at least on a weekly basis.

Both United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust and Lincolnshire Community Health Service confirmed one extra death yesterday (Friday) bringing the total in Lincolnshire to 119.

It also brings the number of deaths reported between Monday to Friday this week to 11 – two fewer than the same period last week and six fewer than the week before.

A spokesman for ULHT confirmed their patient was a man aged 78, while LCHS confirmed a female in her 80s had died in their facilities.

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals Trust also reported one extra death, bringing their total to 80 and that of Greater Lincolnshire to 199 hospital deaths.

In another update, the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust said the number of successfully discharged patients was now 231.

This compares with 223 earlier in the week and 185 on April 30.

So far 116 patients with coronavirus have died at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust facilities.

Another three have died at Lincolnshire Community Health Service facilities and 54 people have passed away at Lincolnshire County Council-managed care homes.

Again, North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust has not issued an update on its figures. A week ago, it reported 64 deaths to date at Peterborough City Hospital and 35 at Hinchingbrooke.

Nationally, the UK death toll increased by 626 to 31,241 yesterday.

The number of confirmed cases in the UK increased by 4649 to 211,364.

Lincolnshire reported five more cases, putting it at 908, with a rate of 120.1 cases per 100,000.

This compares with an England-wide rate of 238.7 cases per 100,000 of population.

Rutland remains at 24 cases, with a rate of 60.5 cases per 100,000, the fourth best rate of district and unitary council areas in the country.

South Kesteven reported four new cases, putting it at 145 and a rate of 102.2.

South Holland is at 131 and 139.4.

Peterborough increased by ten to 294 with a rate of 146.2.

North Kesteven is at 121 and 104.3.
