After our councils have run 'virtual' meetings, now it is the turn of the economic regeneration company InvestSK.

The organisation owned by South Kesteven District Council typically meets at venues around the district, but for the first time it will be holding its regular business briefing over the internet.

The briefing, starting at 9.30am next Friday, June 5, will look at Resilience, Recovery and Business Grants & Support.

InvestSK chairman and leader of South Kesteven District Council Kelham Cooke told Nub News the event would also feature an update on SKDC's response to the pandemic particularly with regards to business grants, rates support, the latest discretionary grants and a council survey on how the pandemic is affecting businesses.

Further InvestSK briefings are also expected to take place virtually, while social distancing measures continue.

Coun Cooke added: "We want to do it virtually on a regular basis. It's just another way of being able to engage with the business community, hear their concerns and support and help them."

Details of the briefing can be found here.
