Grantham shoppers have been flocking back to Bon Marche in High Street.

And it's manager told Nub News: "We are open. We are here to stay."

The clothing retailer closed earlier this year due to the pandemic but it's re-opening on Thursday has been later than other retailers.

Store Manager Vicky Beal said: "Everybody is pleased to see us back open. We are not closing down."

However, there had been fears that the shop may not re-open.

Such 'rumour' was fueled by the late re-opening due to the retailing having a 'phased' re-opening nationally.

Bon Marche was also taken over by Peacock's in February after falling into administration last October.

Vicky said: "We are open. We are here to stay."

"We are really pleased to be back and pleased to see the customers. We have seen lots of regulars and new faces, which is really nice."
