Schools in the Grantham area are among almost 50 in Lincolnshire affected by Covid-19.

In an update issued by Lincolnshire County Council this afternoon, the county council named schools in the area.

They were Bluecoat Meres Academy, Kesteven and Grantham Girls School, Cliffedale Primary School, Barrowby Primary School, Priory Ruskin Academy, and Grantham College.

All the schools and colleges remain open, said the county council, except Bluecoat Meres Academy.

The council also listed King's School as a closed case, but Year 8 was told to remain at home today after the weekend discovery of a confirmed case involving a Year 8 student.

Andy Fox, consultant in public health, said: "As of this morning, Lincolnshire's Health Protection Team is currently working with 47 schools that have had confirmed cases of coronavirus.
