Grantham Mayor Adam Stokes is urging people who want to help those who are self-isolating to contact him or the Emergency Services.

Coun Stokes said on social media yesterday: "As part of the response to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation the Lincolnshire Resilience Forum (part of the County Emergency Centre) are trying to build up a picture of all the community activity that is being undertaken to support those people who are self-isolating especially those most vulnerable, within Lincolnshire.

"If you are planning such activities then please can you let the LRF know via email at [email protected] Alternatively please let me know at [email protected] and I will pass the message on."

Lincolnshire's Resilience Forum is a statutory body made up of all the organisations needed to prepare for, and respond to, any major emergency in the county.

The LRF covers the Lincolnshire police force area, and includes the emergency services, local authorities, the Environment Agency, and health agencies, along with voluntary and private agencies.

Under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 every part of the United Kingson is required to have a resilience forum.

The move comes as Mayor Stokes was forced to cancel his last charity event as mayor, which was due to take place on Thursday.
