Coronavirus crisis: Grantham area vaccinations seek volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help at the Grantham COVID vaccination site.

The appeal comes as all the GP practices covering Grantham and Sleaford are working together to provide the COVID vaccination clinic.

It follows the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust giving the first vaccines earlier this week.

The site hopes to administer the first vaccines next week, though the bulk will be after Christmas.

NHS project manager Dianne Taylor has posted on Facebook: "We are looking for people to help with the Grantham COVID vaccination site.

"Volunteers will help the clinicians by directing the patients and helping the clinics run smoothly so we can vaccinate more patients per day.

"We are also looking for additional clinicians to provide the vaccines eg retired nurses."

Potential volunteers are asked to contact Dianne at [email protected]
