A church near Grantham has received a major government grant as part of a wider scheme to protect faith heritage and culture.
All Saints Knipton Parochial Church Council is to receive £7,639 of a £44,139 pay-out to churches in the Melton district.
This money will restart construction and maintenance on cherished faith heritage sites to preserve visitor attractions and protect livelihoods for some of the most vulnerable heritage specialists and contractors in the sector.
Additionally, as part of the revenue funding delivered by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the District Church Council has been awarded £8,700.
These lifeline grants come from the Departure for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport's (DCMS) £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund, which Ms Kearns has worked to deliver as a Parliamentary Private Secretary to DCMS.
Vale of Belvoir MP Alicia Kearns, said: "I've worked hard with my colleagues at DCMS to ensure this landmark fund is targeted in its delivery, and I'm simply delighted four cherished local faith heritage sites have been bolstered by such significant funding.
"These lifeline grants rightly recognise these organisation's importance not only to our communities, but to our area's heritage, so they can continue to define our skylines for years to come."
