South Kesteven recorded 11 cases of Covid-19 today, compared with 14 over the weekend.

The numbers further fuels a declines in the 7-day rate, taking the district more in line with national trends.

In the week to today, South Kesteven recorded 71 cases, compared with 137 in the week before.

The steep fall now gives the district a 7-day infection rate of 49.9 per 100,000, which remains well above the England average of 28.1.

While the England average has consistently fallen, South Kesteven has experienced 'spikes' in case numbers.

Now, South Kesteven has a grand total of 7454 cases- about one in 20 for every resident since the start of the pandemic.

Once again, South Kesteven recorded no deaths, with the last death linked to Covid recorded more than 3 weeks ago.

The total of 265 since the start of the pandemic means that around one-in-600 South Kesteven residents will have died withing 28 days of a positive test for the virus.

This is better than the England average of one-in-500 residents.
