The Cinco Lounge in Grantham has announced its re-opening date.

Following government guidelines, the popular venture at the Isaac Newton Shopping centre and overlooking St Peter's Hill, says it will re-open on Monday May 17.

This is the day when, according to the government's roadmap, similar indoor ventures can re-open for eating inside.

The restaurant first opened three years ago on May 16 2018 in the premises which had been empty for some years and was formerly JJB Sports.

Announcing the re-opening on social media, the Grantham Cinco Lounge said: "Hey Lounger! We're so excited to finally be opening on May 17th for Lounging, takeaway and click and collect!

"The good news is that we'll be going back to the rule of six rather than single households and there will be no alcohol restrictions."

It added on Tuesday: "We are counting down the days that until we can reopen! â° We are also looking for a chef to join the team when we reopen on the 17th May ðŸ¼"🳠ðŸ½

"Think you've got what it takes to be a part of the team? Drop us a email with your CV to [email protected]! "
