Cards for Good Causes, the charity Christmas card retailer, is re-opening its doors, again, in Grantham on Wednesday 2nd December with the end of lockdown.

This year it's in a new location in the former Body Shop outlet in the George Centre,

It has been a very tough time for the not-for-profit organisation with November being a peak trading month for raising vital funds for charity.

They hope the local community will support them during December and they can recoup some of the lost revenue that would have benefited so many charities this year.

The Grantham pop-up shop is part of a network of more than 200 temporary shops around the UK, selling a huge selection of charity Christmas cards and seasonal gifts with 100% of its proceeds given back to charity - that's at least 70p in the £1 which is significantly higher than most other retailers.

In the last 10 years alone, Cards for Good Causes has raised an incredible £40million for charity. It represents more than 250 charities including Cancer Research UK, Barnardo's, Alzheimer's Society and RNLI, as well as a number of local charities.

Shoppers will be able to choose from hundreds of different Christmas card designs, as well as gifts, stocking fillers, wrapping paper and gift tags. There is a socially distanced one-way system in the shop so customers can walk around safely and browse.

Sally Scorer, Shop Manager for Cards for Good Causes said: "It has been an incredibly difficult time but we are so grateful to have our local community behind us and can't wait to welcome everyone back on the 2nd December.

"We hope to try and raise as much money as possible in the remaining weeks after the devastating loss in November so that our charities can get the vital funding they so desperately need this year.

"With so many Charity cards and gifts to choose from, we hope customers will feel that they are getting a little of that Christmas Market feel whilst also raising money for charity at the same time. Please do come and find us at our new shop in the George Centre."

The shop will be open 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday plus Saturdays 10am to 2pm.
