Belvoir Castle is gearing up for this year's Christmas Market.

The castle estate office is seeking Covid Safety Marshalls to help the estate manage its Christmas Markets, which are set to take place next month.

The estate says candidates must be available on all of the following dates: December 4th - 6th, December 11-13th Dec and December 18-20th. Friday and Saturdays 11am - 8pm and Sundays 11am - 5pm.

The dates are a week later than originally planned, when traders were being sought for the Christmas Market.

As Nub News recently reported, a Scandinavian-style Christmas Market is planned for the Engine Yard, which will be the third consecutive Christmas market at the popular attraction located at the foot of the landmark Belvoir Castle.

This year's market will feature 25 wooden shopping chalets which will sit alongside The Engine Yard's artisan shops and retailers.

Now, six Covid-19 Safety Marshalls are sought whose main responsibilities will include:

"Patrolling the Christmas Market area to ensure people are taking notice of the guidelines and ensuring the one way system.

"Acting as a customers first port of call, giving directions and information out.

"Monitoring the queuing system.

"Using tracked counters on entry and exit."

The advert continued: "The candidate must have knowledge and understanding of customer care practices. Must have up to date knowledge on Covid-19, the practices and guidelines. If the right candidate applies there could be more job opportunities for other events throughout the year."

The job pays minimum wage, with hot drinks supplied.

The deadline for applications is November 24, with recruitment through the Indeed website.
